The most beloved entertainment products of all time, according to reviews. It’s no surprise that the likes of Batman and The Lord of the Rings touch so many people. As entertainment products go, we think these are the most well-known and widely accepted. The companies that produce these products make sure to market them as best they can, with good reason.

What have you got to lose? Can villagers open iron doors? Spend your time learning about something new instead of spending it watching Netflix or playing a new game. Who knows—you might even fall in love! It’s exciting to see a world of great entertainment you never knew existed (or maybe you just forgot).

1. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

The Lord of the Rings series was written by J.R.R. Tolkien in the 1950s, and as you might know, it has been released as a big-budget movie trilogy already, employing actors like Elijah Wood and Viggo Mortensen to portray some of our favorite characters. It is set in Middle Earth, where a hobbit named Frodo Baggins is asked to destroy an all-powerful ring that could be used to rule over all of Middle Earth. All three of the movies in this series are highly rated on Rotten Tomatoes: 89%, 94%, and 87%.

2. Harry Potter Series

J.K. Rowling’s series about a boy wizard named Harry Potter was also released as a feature-length movie trilogy. Harry Potter is a few years older than Frodo Baggins from Middle Earth, but he is a fellow hero of sorts. He finds himself alongside his family members and friends to fight against an evildoer named Lord Voldemort. The movies in the series are rated 85%, 93%, and 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.

3. The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is another popular movie series that was made into a TV show first, which became even more popular after it was released as a feature film in 2010 (and everybody saw it!). It is a zombie/post-apocalyptic tale of a group of people who stay alive and try to protect themselves from evil and other people trying to do the same. Until recently, it was rated 86%, 95%, and 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, so it’s clearly well liked by critics, too.

4. Star Wars Trilogy

The original trilogy is the best-known of the Star Wars movies we’ve got in our list for now, since it’s the first movie everyone knows about. In 1977, George Lucas released his first movie about a group of rebels fighting against an evil empire with lightsabers and blasters and spaceships. The movies were found to be 93%, 91%, and 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, so like The Lord of the Rings, it was pretty well-received by critics.

5. Batman

Batman has been around since 1939, when he appeared in comic books as a vigilante fighting crime. In 1989, we got to see him on screen for the first time, and in the years since many actors have played him on screen: Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale…the list goes on! Given that you’ve probably watched one of these movies at least once (maybe even more than once!), you know how much people love Batman. In 2010, Christopher Nolan directed a Batman trilogy that was rated 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.

6. Spiderman Trilogy

Spiderman is one of the best-known movies ever, and the web-slinger himself has been played by Tobey Maguire (the first actor to play him), Andrew Garfield, and even Tom Holland. You probably know the story of a nerdy high school student bitten by a radioactive spider who becomes a superhero and fights against an evil scientist. The movies got mixed reviews after they were released as feature films in 2002 (85%), 2004 (85%), and 2007 (86%). After all of that, it’s no wonder you can’t get enough of Spiderman!

7. The Simpsons Movie

The Simpsons has been on TV for many years, but it also has its own feature films. In 2007, one film was released: The Simpsons Movie. It was a critical and financial success that earned an 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

8. Mission to Mars

Before we got to the movies released in 2001–2010, we thought we might mention the animated movie MISSION TO MARS that came out in 2000. It was rated 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it is funny to watch now…even though it’s been a while since it first came out!

9. Gladiator

Ridley Scott has a number of great movies to his name, but one of the best-known that he directed is Gladiator in 2000. This historical drama/action movie earned 87% on Rotten Tomatoes.

10. A Knight’s Tale

While this isn’t a trilogy, we think it’s worth mentioning that you loved A Knight’s Tale , which was released in 2001. This comedy/drama/action movie rated 77% on Rotten Tomatoes and starred Heath Ledger, Paul Bettany, and Mark Addy.

Summary:

There are so many more movies and TV shows that you love, but these are just the ones we could think of off the top of our heads. They span decades, from 1980 to 2010, and some were even animated! Some of them were critically acclaimed, while others struck a chord with you because they made you laugh or cry or hold your breath…and let’s be honest: isn’t that what entertainment’s all about?
