King 5 news anchor was KXAN’s anchor and reporter. He was one of our first big-time news anchors and was a huge fan of the sport. He started KXAN as a 5-15 news channel in the late 1990s, but he challenged the network to change its name from KSPS to KXAN and stuck with it for a while, then around 2009 or 2010. He established himself as one of Top 10 News Anchors in Texas, earning multiple awards for his work over that time.
