In 2016, I was a new mom of two. I was having a hard time finding a job because I had not done one. So I decided to learn how to make frozen yogurt. I had a little money and I wanted to start a business. I started making frozen yogurt with my husband, but it was never the same as my own yogurt. It was a completely different experience.
Frozen yogurt is basically yogurt that’s hard, like Cheetos. It comes in two different flavors which are very different from each other, and it comes in a hardy variety too. We didn’t sell any of our yogurt at our own shop because we didn’t like the idea of people eating it (even though it’s very tasty) and it was hard to be sure people wouldn’t tell others who did.
The challenge was making our yogurt taste as good as it looked, and that was impossible. We tried to do the best we could, but we didnt really understand why anybody would want to buy this new frozen yogurt that tastes like Jello. Our yogurt came out a light yellow colour. I was very excited because it was the very first time I made yogurt this way. If it is the first time anybody makes yogurt hard, I am definitely going to make sure it is a delicious experience.
This was the time we had to get our yogurt into the freezer, and we needed it cold. I went to the store to grab some frozen yogurt to freeze, and when I got out, the whole parking lot was blocked off by people who were waiting to get their yogurt. As soon as the whole thing was empty, we were at a loss. We tried to find a place where we could make a small container to freeze, but there were no such places.
I don’t know if you saw this story or not, but we had a yogurt business plan for this frozen yogurt business, if you will. I’ll try to pull together the pieces of it here, but I’m sure you can guess which one we used.
