Is it that time of the season again? The time for wreaths, sweet, warm drinks, and festive cookies? Lucky you! It’s one of the best seasons all year round! They say it’s the time for “giving.” Well, we all know they probably meant gifting presents to our loved ones when they said that. But did you ever think about how perfect this season can be to give some legendary once-in-a-year kind of pranks? Yes, that’s right! The season of giving can also become the season of giving jokes that even Santa Claus would be proud of you. Okay, you might be listed on the Naughty List because of this. But if you do, you’d be proud of making it there! It’s not easy to be the best prankster in town, so read on to find out.
While you’re here, we’ll let you in on a bit of a tip: here’s where you can watch your Christmas movies with your loved ones for free. You’re welcome. Merry Christmas! *Wink wink*
1. Toilet Present
For some reason, toilets are always a subject for humor. Tell your favorite family member that you left them a surprise in the bathroom. The surprise? A toilet wrapped in a gift wrapper! No boxes or other shape-forming objects are needed for this; just grab a sticky tape and piece all those pieces together until you cover every bit! Let them wonder what’s the surprise about – not that it isn’t apparent yet!
2. Christmas Prank Call
Prank calls are always a good idea to go, even in the age of smartphones and mobile applications. It’s a prank that has stood the test of time yet never gets old. Instead, it just keeps getting better! How do you make a prank call in the 21st century, you ask? Try Ownage Pranks’ prank call app! They offer a bunch of fun things to do like automatic prank calls, spoof calls, and voice-changing features. With automatic prank calls, you can choose from many pre-made prank scripts to send to your victims. You can choose which characters are going to perform these too! With spoof calls, you won’t need a burner phone to change your caller ID to call anyone you know anymore because you can now make anonymous and untraceable calls with this. Just keep it legal and harmless, and you are good to go! What’s more astonishing about it is they offer free prank calls on special occasions like April Fools or, who knows – maybe even Christmas! Try it to give the wackiest Christmas present to your loved ones!
3. Brussel Sprouts Candy
Christmas is time for hot chocolate, eggnogs, gingerbread, and well – candy! On your Christmas eve celebration, help prepare some “candy” or little cake pops by attaching a candy stick on Brussel sprouts and cover each with a shiny candy wrapper. Remember, the packaging is everything! So make it enticing enough to attract the attention of the kids and the kids at heart. Tell them they have to wait until Christmas morning to open it. Only to realize that the sweet thing they’ve been waiting for hours is, well, just some bland and uncooked vegetable. You’ll definitely be on the naughty list because of this one! But you know it’s going to be worth it!
4. Double Decoy Prank
Have you ever seen one of those viral Christmas present memes where one people make multiple layers of suspenseful gift wraps in one present? It’s like a Russian doll, but you are surprised with different objects instead of the same thing every layer. For example, you wrap a cooking pan and cover it exactly how it’s shaped. The key is to make it look overtly like a pan that the gift receiver will know exactly what’s inside. The wrapper is just a waste of gift wrapping time and material. Now that you planted this idea in their head, you will surprise them by putting a box of a new release of a phone model inside. Say, the latest iPhone. Or you can even get a box of the new Switch. Now once they open the pan and see that there is a box of the latest gadget, after all, their spirits are going to rise again! But when they open this box once again, they won’t find any of the devices inside. Instead, they’ll find their other gift. Something cheap like socks or some cheap candy. Imagine how much of an emotional rollercoaster one gift can get! Cruel, but undoubtedly clever!
5. Zip Tie Gift Prank
When gifting someone close to you, try annoying them by covering their entire wrapped Christmas gift with many zip ties. Push it up to the tightest spot so they couldn’t just remove it quickly. Imagine having them look for a scissor just to open your gift! This is perfect for doing to your siblings or to your best friend. It’ll be so hilarious yet time-consuming. What? Christmas is the time for light-hearted laughs and quality time! It’s the perfect occasion to do this!
6. Gingerbread Man In Bed
As we said, Christmas is the time of the gingerbread man. Well, you might need a bit of time to prepare for this prank. You will need a giant cardboard cutout of a gingerbread man. A life-sized one! Now put this beside your daughter/son/any kid’s bed. It’s up to you if you want to put it before they enter the bed to sleep for the night or if you’re going to slip it beside them while they are sleeping. When they freak out at the sight of this, tell them you had nothing to do with it and Santa Claus probably put it there to accompany them at night. This is a wholesome prank that tries to make Christmas more magical, in our opinion!
7. Fridge Present Prank
Once everyone is asleep after Christmas eve and some leftovers are already packed in foils or plastic containers, sneak into the kitchen silently and wrap everything in the fridge individually. This might take a lot of work, especially if your refrigerator is packed but trust us, this will be worth it! After you’ve wrapped every item, put them back where they belonged and wait for the next day someone sees it! Now, everyone is going to have a Christmas morning filled with so many unwrapping “presents!” Not that they have a lot of choices anyway. Because if no one does it, you’ll probably starve for the rest of the day.
8. Saran Wrap Tree
Got a lot of extra Saran Wrap for the leftovers? Cool, now try to cover the entire Christmas Tree with it! Do this when everyone is asleep after Christmas Eve. When they wake up, the presents under the tree aren’t the only ones that need unwrapping. The tree might need some of it too! It’s simple, but it’s always hilarious!
9. Crispy Rice Prank
You can always take advantage of those little gift bags. Not only are they handy, but they can also be used for an epic prank! Now, if you are putting your Christmas gifts on a table or any elevated platform, then this might get handy. Prepare this gift precisely at the position where you want it to be placed. Say, near the edge of the table. Now, while the gift bag isn’t sealed yet, open up a hole under it—possibly at least an inch in diameter. When you’re satisfied with the size of the hole, fill the bag up with crispy rice cereals until you are happy with the amount of content. After that, seal the bag like how you would typically do a gift. Say, with a tape or a stapler. When someone lifts the bag up, they will be up for a crispy rice surprise!
10. Small Gift, Big Box Prank
Like the Double Decoy Prank, this can be one of those cruel and heart-stopping surprises that you can do to anyone who is the receiver of the prank/gift. Now, you might need to have multiple boxes wrapped like a Russian doll full of itself. You get the idea, get big boxes, put smaller boxes inside each one until the last box, which will be nothing but a small gift that didn’t need all those wrappings in the first place. Well, if it’s any credit, the act of unwrapping and the form of entertainment value is already a present in itself too!
11. Water Balloon Surprise
This may need a little bit of cleaning up and make sure you won’t be messing with essential things here. Now take a gift box (the ones with the top cover) and a piece of a new balloon. Fill that balloon up with water. If you want to be creative, you might even use Kool-Aid or tap water mixed with food coloring for added effect. Now, don’t seal that balloon with the tie! Leave it inside the box and let the balloon “lips” hang by the edge of the box. Now put that top cover where it’s supposed to be and make sure to lock the balloon lips/hole with it. When someone attempts to open that box, it should spill right there and then! Make sure to help them mop it up afterward!.
These are 11 pranks you can do on Christmas! Ready to try them out? We wish you the best of luck. Happy pranking and Happy Holidays!
